We would like to kindly inform you that on 4-7 June 2019 in Szczyrk, in the 4 * Meta hotel, the 42nd Symposium „Chromatographic Methods for the Study of Organic Compounds” will take place. The deadline for submitting abstracts and closing early registration expires on 30 April 2019.

This year’s edition is organized by the Institute of Chemistry at the University of Silesia in Katowice under the patronage of the Katowice branch of PSC.

We hope that the scientific topic 42. Symposium will meet your expectations. Among the speakers who have confirmed their participation so far are:

prof. Tomas Cajka (Dept. of Metabolomics, Institute of Physiology CAS, Czech Republic)

prof. Antonio Checa (Dept. of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden)

prof. Yvan vander Heyden (Dept. of Analytical Chemistry, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium) prof. Bekzod Khakimov (Dept. of Food Science, University of Copenhagen, Denmark)

prof. Teresa Kowalska (Institute of Chemistry, University of Silesia, Poland) prof. Olav M. Kvalheim (Dept. of Chemistry, University of Bergen, Norway)

prof. Michał Markuszewski (Faculty of Pharmacy with the Division of Laboratory Medicine, Medical University of Gdansk, Poland)

prof. Gertrud Morlock (Food Science, Justus-Liebig-University Giessen, Germany)

prof. Frederik-Jan van Schooten (Faculty of Health, Maastricht University, The Netherlands)

prof. Jerzy Silberring (Department of Biochemistry and Neurobiology, AGH, Poland)

Agnieszka Smolińska, Ph.D. (Faculty of Health, Maastricht University, Netherlands)

Participants of the 42nd Symposium, we offer „all-inclusive” entry fees, which include: accommodation in a 4 * Meta hotel, full meals, the possibility of free participation in courses and trainings (the order of applications decides), participation in all accompanying events provided for in the program.

For young researchers, PhD students and students, we set special entry fees. We also planned various thematic sessions, the possibility of active participation of young scientists and a discussion panel on the education of chromatography and related techniques. For two age groups, we anticipate attractive prizes in the category 'for the most interesting presentation’ and 'for the best poster’.

We also count on the active participation of representatives of chromatographic and laboratory apparatus manufacturers and companies using chromatographic methods as part of their activities.

The day before the 42nd Symposium there will be a free training entitled „Validation of analytical (separation) methods” conducted by prof. Yvana vander Heyden, Department of Analytical Chemistry, Applied Chemometrics and Molecular Modeling, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Brussels, Belgium. All interested in participation are kindly requested to register.

Details and current information on the event are posted on the website and Facebook profile.
